Myoseon (묘선) is a personal creative site by one author. It keeps short stories and essays in one space, an online photo exhibition in another and a painting gallery in a third. Public works can be viewed without signing up. The stories and essays are written in Korean.

Stories and essays

Myoseon's Stories holds the short stories 그랜마 정미 (Grandma Jeongmi), 기억의 조각들 (Fragments of Memory), the romance 첫눈이 오면 (When the First Snow Comes) and the essay 달빛 산책 (Moonlit Walk). The text is in Korean. The reader lets you change the paper style (cream, faded white, parchment, dark) and the sound effect volume.

Online photo exhibition

Myoseon Photo Exhibition collects moments in photographs: the monochrome Light and Shadow, the landscape Misty Forest and the portrait Gaze.

Art gallery

Myoseon Art Gallery shows an ink wash copy of Geumgang Naesan Jeondo, the acrylic painting Memory of Winter and the watercolor Afternoon Still Life.

How to browse

  1. Open the Myoseon home page and choose Library, Art or Photo.
  2. On a day you want words, pick one story or essay.
  3. On a day you want images, start with the photo exhibition or the gallery.
  4. Save the page address of anything you want to return to.

The writing and images are original creative works. Check each site's notes for quoting and reuse. When sharing, link to the original page rather than copying only the image or text.
